This project was an assessment for my Modelling & Animation module. The brief was to create three different 3D models which could be used as assets in a video game. I was inspired by Jane Austen’s writing, and the British Regency era's overall aesthetic, so I decided to make a simple tea party scene.
I searched through Pinterest and compiled a series of old illustrations into a board. I then downloaded the images and created an annotated moodboard.
Taking inspiration from the illustrations, I decided to create small table and a chair from the same set, as well as a small teacup with matching plate. Using Procreate, I designed the basic orthographic views (front, top, and side profile) of the three assets.
I then modelled them in Maya, and added textures and HDRI lighting to complete the scene. Finally, I created a turntable animation.
